On-going production log #5
During the process of applying the chosen images to my magazine (especially my front cover) I realised that having four people as my main image wasn't ideal as there was a lack of space on the A4 page naturally making the front cover look too busy and the picture not at a sufficient quality. I solved this by using images I took earlier in the day of 3 people in the group thus making it look more professional and making my job of cropping easier.

On-going production log #4
Today I tool pictures of my main artists for my music magazine I took a variety of different types of shots in order to have more choice in what to do but it also made me think about the message I want the group to portray. Such as there confidence, whether they are established acts or new artists etc. Here are some of the photos I took:

Medium Close-up shot
I will now add my images to my magazine thus beginning to process of cropping and choosing the right images.

On-going production log #2
Today I came up with my music magazine's strap line, making it applicable to my front cover in terms of presentation (colour, font, etc). It also applies to the target audience it is aimed at and displays a key theme/aim of the magazine which is to allow the audience to have an insight on what musicians and artist's lives are like behind the music videos and glamourous life on tour hence "get behind the scenes..." allowing the artist themselves to promote themselves.

Peer evaluation
In my media lesson we decided to peer assess each others mastheads and give constructive critisicm based on whether it:
Links to the genre
demonstrates technical skills & creativity
the level/degree of the finish
I recieved comments on my masthead from 9 peers and they also gave their opinions on which masthead looks the most professional and appropriate. Many said the second one was the best however it would need to be further developed as not all the peers were clear on the genre it applies to.
On-going production log #1
Today I compared different fonts and tried to distinguish fonts that would not be appropriate for my magazine in additon to that, I also attempted to establish a font that could possibly work with my magazine. This was beneficial as my typography is an important part of my music magazine, it must link to my audience as they are students a plain font must be avoided as it could be expected to be in an informative magazine about literature that adults may read. The software I used to get different fonts was photoshop which is what i will be using to potential edit the fonts I choose to use throughout my music magazine.
